Overview

Hoefer Wysocki is looking to add an Urban Designer 2 in our Kansas City office. This candidate should have a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture and/or Urban Design. This position is focused on Urban Design of redevelopment and greenfield sites. A secondary role will be to support the general architecture needs for the Commercial and Healthcare Groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing projects according to office standards and processes. Responsibilities include involvement within project teams from pre-development design, master planning, site planning and schematic design. This position will be supervised by the Director of Urban Design in the Dallas office and work collaboratively with the Principals of the various studios.

Responsibilities

Support firm-wide master planning initiatives.

Support firm-wide urban design and planning initiatives.

Support firm-wide marketing efforts.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Landscape Architecture, or equivalent in education or experience. 3-5 years of experience is preferred.

 

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations:  LEED AP, LEED ND Green Associate Accreditation preferred but not required.  

 

Qualifications/Skills: Candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Newforma, Deltek Vision, ADOBE and Sketch-up. Knowledge of REVIT is a plus. Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere, and meet deadlines. Quality and customer service focus a must.
