Overview

We are looking for an experienced Construction Administration Manager to add to our team. Key responsibilities include management of the construction phase, client, contractor and consultant coordination, and budget, scope, and schedule compliance. Applicants should have a thorough understanding of contracts, design requirements, codes, standards and current trends.

Responsibilities

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality assurance reviews on construction documents prepared by others
  • Provide technical expertise on construction details and mentor staff.
  • Lead the Bid Phase effort including managing pre-bid meetings, review of substitution requests, answering Contractor inquiries and issuing addendum.
  • Manage pre-construction meetings.
  • Review/evaluate Contractor’s project schedules and schedule of values.
  • Review Contractor pay requests for accuracy.
  • Review and answer RFI’s and evaluate submittals.
  • Attend construction meetings and OAC meetings and provide input.
  • Lead job site reviews and provide construction field reports.
  • Coordinate with architectural/interior staff as well as project consultants regarding drawing/ specification changes during the Bid and Construction Phases.
  • Issue ASI’s or PR’s as needed.
  • Evaluate Change Orders and provide back-up for adjustments.
  • Review material testing reports.
  • Perform and document punch lists.
  • Coordinate close out process including as-built/record documents.
  • Ability to utilize effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to confidently and decisively take action.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage all aspects of projects, clients and key staff.
  • Ability to review budgets, construction schedules and submittal schedules on projects from $5 million to $75 million.
  • Moderate travel required.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management and/or Architecture required. Healthcare experience a plus. Understanding of Design/Bid/Build process and Design/Build process a must. Minimum 10 years of experience in construction administration and/or general construction experience preferred.

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: Architectural registration preferred with current license, NCARB registration preferred. LEED Green Associate Accreditation desired. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and willingness to use insured personal vehicle in the course of employment.

Qualifications/Skills: Proficiency in Revit preferred but not essential. Newforma, and Microsoft Office preferred but not essential. Deltek Vision and Fastrack Schedule knowledge preferred. Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere, strong written and oral communication skills and meet deadlines.
